London: Peter Davies, 1961. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. First UK Edition, First Printing. SIGNED & INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR. Publisher's orange boards with silver lettering to the spine. The front board stained and marked and a graze to the left-hand edge of the rear board. There is minor foxing to both sets of end-papers. The interior of the book is clean. Inscribed by the Author to the front free end-paper: "For Pat Ormiston/ A first copy/ Leo Bruce". In a supplied price-clipped dustwrapper which is lightly rubbed and creased to the extremities and with a single short closed tear to the front panel. Philip and Pat Ormiston knew Leo Bruce from their holiday visits to Cornwall. Photographs/scans available upon request.
