Publisher's original light brown cloth with covered wagon illustration surrounded by green, black, and blue decoration and border, octavo, pp. 331 plus pp. [4] ads. Spine lettering gilt. Tissue-guarded frontispiece and four other full-page William Stecher illustrations, as called for. Note that Table of Contents lists the Frontis as appearing on page 9, but it appears opposite the Title Page. March 17, 1905, Happy Birthday inscription from one friend or relative to another on the free front endpaper. "O'Brien Purchase" is rubber stamped on front pastedown. Light shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. Front hinge beginning to show signs of tenderness.
Upper board fore-edge protrudes beyond the lower board fore-edge very slightly, as in an overbite. Some foxing. About GOOD condition withal.
