An efficient and comprehensive work upon every branch of angling, with chapters dedicated to pond-fishing, artificial spinners, stream fishing, worms, minnows, and more. Written by Francis Francis. Illustrated with a frontispiece and sixteen further plates, some in colour. Collated, complete.With eight leaves of advertisements and twelve leaves of publisher's catalogue to rear. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally with shelf wear, chipped with very minor loss to head and tail of spine, bumped to extremities. Back strip faded, minor marks to rear board. William Herbert Fowler's bookplate to front pastedown, inscribed by a previous owner. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting scattered to occasional leaf. Good
