New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons. Good. 1904. Second Printing. Hardcover. 232 + ads p. 20 cm. Square in red cloth binding, with stamped titles and decoration to upper board and spine, and colour pastedown illustration in corner of upper board. Both inside hinges have partially split, but the binding is still holding quite well. Some wear to the corner tips. Spine slightly faded. A little soil to lower board. Inside pages are clean and unmarked overall. Eight tales of a man and his relationship with various animals. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and eight black and white plates of the artwork of American artist Peter Newell. .
