Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1843. Full-Leather. Good+. Contemporary Full Leather Binding with 5 raised bands to spine. Gilt title in 2nd compartment and Gilt Decoration in others. Tooled gilt decoration and linear borders to front & spine, most of the gilt has faded from the front but the design is very clear. Inscription "Mrs Friend" dated 1859, on ffep and a later gift inscription from her, in blue and red calligraphy, to Ellen Mason, Christmas 1874. All page edges gilt. Text in large clear print, very easy to read. 8 1/2" Tall, 1.1 Kilos. Small closed tear to leather at top corner of spine. Binding fragile, the last signature containing some of the Psalms is loose. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
