About This Item
The Book of Dates
or, Treasury of Universal Reference, Comprising A Summary of the Principle Events In All Ages, From the Earliest Records To 1862
Arranged Chronologically and alphabetically.
Published by Griffin, Bohn & Co 1862 new edition (probably second)
Contents include - Europe, Middle East, Asia, America, Australia and Polynesia, not South or central America probably because little was known back then.
This book is now in good plus condition, no tears or creases, a few spots or marks but largely clean and tidy throughout. Textured maroon cloth boards with gilt title and decoration, a little edge wear, notably the top and tail of the spine, I have also repaired and strengthened a cloth tear at the top of the spine. Dust jacket n/a. 738 pages, plus about 50 in indexes.
