Houghton Mifflin. Red cloth boards with gold border on face and lettering on spine. Top outer page edges are gilded. Some fading down spine. Back inside hinge is cracked. Inside covers, end papers and free pages are full of pasted on interesting paper clippings and quotes on the joy of books and reading. Also several paper clippings included freely within the pages. Text within is clean. Very interesting notations by the previous owner makes this book very appealing. . Good. Hardcover. 1888.
