Very clean green cloth boards with black lettering, branding iron on cover, black lettering on spine. Short closed tear to cloth at top spine edge, tiny spots of wear at base of spine. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages are clean with clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Illustrations by J. Allen St. John. 347 pages. Dust jacket has piece missing at lower spine (2-1/2"), shallow chipping at top spine margin, corner chips, closed edge tears, faint water stains; photo and mini-bio of author on rear panel; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
