Study of the only New Zealander to serve on the Staff Corps at Gallipoli in 1915. As a Beach Landing Officer, Corps Provost Marshal and the first Anzac Beach Commander, Bowler was in a prime position to fully observe the campaign as it progressed. He paid the price for telling the truth about the shortcomings of High Command and was overlooked for any awards. Bowler was also officer in charge of the Provosts during the infamous and contentious Haret el Wasser riot in Cairo.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Fine. 4to.
