About This Item
First edition. Two volumes, half red leather and marbled boards. Bindings worn. Head of spine of Volume I separating. Hinges starting, but both volumes still sound. Pages foxed. Sheets trimmed slightly. A fair copy. ******** The set is descended from a prominent New York family and bears an interesting signature of 'Washington Irving' on the title page - similar to other examples of his signature, but not enough evidence to arrive at a definitive conclusion. The stories are a cool follow-up to The Sketch-book.***Please email us for better pricing.***
