About This Item

London: Macmillan & Co., 1882. Hardcover. Very Good. R. Caldecott. Green cloth/cranford style edition of Irving's follow-up to his wildly popular The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon. Bracebridge Hall employs a similar format, consisting of loosely connected stories from his pseudonym Crayon who has installed himself at an English Country House. With tissue guarded frontispiece and b/w illustrations throughout. All edges gilt. Slight cocking to spine. Mild rubbing and bumping to edges. Contents prim and binding tight. Very good.
