About This Item

High Point, North Carolina: Owlady Press, 2008. First Edition First Printing . Soft cover. Near Fine. 8vo. 80 pages. Soft cover bound in sepia wrappers. Almost no wear to the binding. A sound copy and clean within. INSCRIBED and signed by Hilde on the Dedication page. Contains several photos. The Braun family came from the Ukraine and U.S.S.R. It appears that some may have ended up in North Carolina (the author is from High Point, NC) but the bulk of the book is about the Brauns in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, and Virginia, especially Lynchburg and Bedford, Va. This is not exactly a genealogical book, although it does have a page with a genealogical chart. Much of the book is narrative and not lists of names.

About Pages Past Used and Rare Books

Pages Past is a small used & rare bookshop located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 1996 we have been serving the Triad community as well as customers from around the world. We have around 15-20,000 volumes in our shop. We specialize in North Carolina, Virginia, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies, and the simply unusual. We very likely have the oldest books in Greensboro; we keep a nice selection of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books.
