Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, 1938. Sixteen-year-old Brazos leaves his family's Texas ranch and strikes out to make his way in a hard world. Lightly bumped and rubbed with a couple of unfortunate drip marks to the spine. Foxing to the edges of the text block and occasionaly to the text. Binding square and solid. Signed by Taylor on the title page, with an inscription and signed again on the front end paper, dated 1938. Previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown, with a note below stating "Ross also made the bookplate for me.". Inscribed By the Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
