The Folio Society, 1995. Limited Edition First Printing. Quarter Leather. Fine. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Rosoman, Leonard. The Folio Society's deluxe leather-bound edition, limited to only 100 hand-numbered copies for sale. Limitation page signed by the artist, Leonard Rosoman, at the rear of the book. Bound in publisher's quarter Nigerian Goatskin leather with Ann Muir hand-marbled paper boards. Titling in gilt to the spine. Top edges gilt. Printed on Hamilton Wove paper. 8 full-page colour plates by Leonard Rosoman, printed on Mohawk Superfine. xx, 276 pp. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. The book is in fine condition with slight darkening to the leather spine. The cream slipcase has light marking to all sides. Between 1990 and 1995, The Folio Society produced nine limited editions of classic titles, each one signed by the artist. They were all quarter bound in Nigerian Goatskin with marbled paper sides by Ann Muir. The editions were limited to 100 or 150 numbered copies for sale and 26 lettered copies which were presented to people associated with the book. They are now both scarce and desirable. The book is in fine condition with slight darkening to the leather spine. The cream slipcase has light marking to all sides. Heavy/oversize book. U.K. postage at default charge but overseas buyers will be asked for a little extra. All orders professionally packed, tracked and/or signed-for, and insured.
