Kimball at the 1882 reunion, catalog files from the Academy, historical address . of Marshall Cram at the dedication of the Bridgton Town House in 1852, file of the school paper The Stranger, file of the alumni paper, The Bridgton Academy News Letter, recollections of students who attended the Academy 90 or 100 years ago written out in letters or memoranda, accounts of Academy affairs in the Bridgton News and other newspapers, historical address delivered by James Carroll Mead at the Centennial Reunion in 1908, books of clippings about Bridgton affairs by Norman H. Libby in the Maine Historical Society library, the history of the Cumberland and Oxford Canal, records of the Trustees from 1899 to 1957, etc. Photos of some of the founders, a beautiful shot of the Chapel on a winter's night. 200 years ago the whole region around where Bridgton Academy now stands was a wilderness. No white man lived here. The nearest stettlements were on the coast or close to it and they were open to frequent and frightful attacks from Indians. Soil on binding, taped, heavy edge wear, library markings, one page taped. .
