About This Item

London: Matthew Hunt, 1755. Sewn Binding. 50p., a disbound pamphlet, complete text lacking blanks and any trace of wrapper of issuance. Stab-holes of long lost threads remain, the leaves now held (securely) by binder's glue at the spine, where we glimpse continuous fragments of leather binding. Title page is one quarter detached, but is not damaged save for smudges. Also find a few smudges scattered throughout the text. A relatively good copy. The 'blessedness" called upon may be be bitterly satiric.
