The binding has spotting/scuffs. Some silverfishing to the covers. The top edge of the boards are worn down to boards, have fraying. Endpapers are foxed. Edge of text block has slight damping, which shows on some pages. Text not affected. Text is toned. Several sections at the rear are written by noted North Carolina figures in the Moravian Church, including Rev. Edward Rondthaler ("The Doctrine and Government of the Moravian Church"), Rev. J. Kenneth Pfohl ("The Southern Province, 1857-1909") and Adelaide L. Fries ("Moravian Festival Days" and "The Trombone Choir" in the "Funeral Chorals of the Unitas Fratrum or Moravian Church" at the rear).
