New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1940. First Printing of the First Edition. HB. Black cloth, green lettering on front cover and spine, 8vo, 424 pp., map endpapers. With Scribner's "A" on copyright page. Account of the life of Hercules Dousman, early fur trader in Wisconsin at Prairie du Chien. No marks in book, binding tight, and covers clean. In an unclipped ($2.50) dust jacket that shows light chipping, moisture stain top rear panel. Book condition VG+ in VG- DJ.
