Berlin: Paul Zsolnay Verlag, 1948. 1st Edition . Very Good/Very Good. 5 x 7.75 inches (12.5 x 19.5 cm). Dust jacket: Very scarce original jacket. Browning to paper. Slight wear to ends of spine. Light stain to outer edge of front cover. Preserved in a removable jacket protector. Overall jacket condition is Very Good. Book: First German edition. Quarter red cloth with red paper covered boards. A little light marking to page edges, slight wear to lower edge of boards. A few pages slightly creased to lower margin. Good solid binding. A couple of spots to preliminary pages, text is otherwise very clean throughout. Overall book condition is Very Good. Size: 5 x 7.75 inches (12.5 x 19.5 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 408
Synopsis
GRAHAM GREENE was born in Hertfordshire in 1904. While at Balliol College, Oxford he published his first book of verse. He continued to write throughout his lifetime, and served with the Secret Intelligence Service during the Second World War. He died in 1991.
