Taunton, MA: The Republican Publishing Co, 1889. 54 x 70 cm. The drowning season has started--warning for boys and girls to stay clear of thin ice. Four men from Taunton were riding in a closed carriage when they were struck by the steamboat train from Fall RIver. The train demolished their carriage, and the horses took off with the wreckage, while the men were thrown in all directions. The O. Ames & Sons Corporation in North Easton have had two immense iron tanks placed in the ground and connected pipes to several of their furnaces, which they are heating with crude petroleum.
