Includes William Morris's "Useful Work versus Useless Toil"; Laurence Housman's "The Bawling Brotherhood"; and works by Robert Louis Stevenson, James Connolly, Edward Carpenter, Henry Noel Brailsford, Saunders Lewis, Thomas Carlyle, Charles Kingsley, Sydney Smith, William Hazlitt and others. Adhesive from publisher's sticker on copyright page has penetrated to the title page leaving a rectangular stain, else very good in dust jacket, which is chipped at the spine ends, corner tips, and the top edge of the front panel..
