Dustjacket with large 50 x 30mm piece missing from head of spine, and many other smaller chips and tears. 3" tear to dustjacket spine with adhesive tape repair on reverse side. Dustjacket protected in archival mylar cover. ; [x], 349, [1] pages + [8] pages advertisements. Yellow buckram cloth boards with black lettering on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 218 x 145mm. Military history, World War Two. Frontispiece and dustjacket art by E. Stanley Smith. "There are few works on sniping available other than military training manuals aissued by the major powers' armed forces training commands. Shore's book rightfully takes its place at the top of the general trade books on the subject.
