About This Item

[New York]: Anton Refregier, 1960. Unbound. Near Fine. One leaf folded as mailed. Illustrated with an original block print by Anton Refregier. Folds out to 6" x 14". Issued as a Christmas card by Refregier and his family, the yellow card folds out to reveal a nice block print illustration of a girl playing a recorder at a dove. Evidence of mailing, just about fine. Refregier was a Russian immigrant painter and artist probably best known for work done for the Federal Art Project, especially his epic "History of San Francisco" painted in the Rincon Center in San Francisco.
