New York: Harper and Row, 1989. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/very good. Stated first edition of the author's emotional work on fetal alcohol syndrome. Foreword by Louise Erdrich. The book won the National Book Critics Circle Award (so stated on the sticker afixed to the front cover of the dustwrapper). Bump to one corner else a near fine copy in lightly used and faded dustwrapper. This copy has been INSCRIBED by Dorris on the title page and also includes a one page typed letter from the author to the same inscribee attached to the publicity release for the book.
