The first American edition of this suspenseful crime novel by Harold Bindloss, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. The scarce first American edition. Not currently held in any UK libraries. Published simultaneously in the UK under the title, 'Sour Grapes'. In the publisher's original cloth binding with pictorial gilt detail, and with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. A suspenseful crime novel following Keith Harden, a young banker, who is accused of stealing funds from his own bank. With the help of his friends and fiancee, he must track down the actual culprit, and prove his innocence. Harold Edward Bindloss was an English novelist who published numerous adventure novels, predominantly set in Canada. His works include titles such as, 'The Stain of the Forge', 'The League of the Leopard', and 'The Secret of the Reef'. The half title page is present. With the previous owner's ink signature to the front paste-down. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent with little shelf wear. Light bumping to the spine.
