INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on front free endpaper. This copy isd clean and fresh throughout the text. 303pp. This was the author's third book. It was made into a Hollywood film in 1945 starring Burt Lancaster and Jean Peters. Paul Wellman (1895-1966) was an American journalist, history and novel writer, known for his books of the Wild West, Kansas and Oklahoma, the Great Plains. He worked for a time at the Kansas City Star. . Signed by Author. First Edition, First Printing. Brown Cloth. Minor Edge and Corner Wear/Chipped Dust Jacket. Octavo.
