'Hebert Strang' was a pseudonym used by George Herbert Ely (18661958) and Charles James L'Estrange (18671947), co-editors in the Juveniles Department of Oxford University Press from 1907 until 1939, and the authors of adventure stories for boys. text is clean, tight and unmarked. Gold cloth boards, with a picture of a young man in Russian garb carrying a gun and protecting (presumably TransSiberian) railroad tracks, is VG with slight rubbing to spine ends.
