T. Fisher Unwin, London., 1892 (i.e. 1891). First edition. Small octavo. pp [iv], 165. Frontispiece and one other plate by Ford Madox Brown. Original cream cloth with a floral pattern in blue; the pattern continues on the edges and endpapers. Ford's first book, issued as the first title in the series The Children's Library. His second book, The Feather, was issued in the same series and in the same format.Spine faded and with a few small (ink?) spots. Some faint spotting to prelims. Very good.
