Hardback small, dustjacket, very good condition (in very good jacket), thick board covers, card jacket fixed to boards at spine (edges rear cover little faded), full-page black & white text-photos (including frontispiece portrait), folding map, minor toning endpapers, minor edgewear. 42 pp. A short history of Buckler's Hard, a small village in Hampshire where a number of the ships belonging to the British Navy in Nelson's time were built and launched. Traces the place's history and lists the many ships built there. Concludes with table of ships launched, showing name, date of launching, builder and number of guns. (Possible unidentified modern reprint. 1 of 2 available copies.).
