About This Item
First edition, hardcover, 1886. Ex-library. Original cloth boards, complete with all pages and plates. Boards worn at corners. Front gutter exposed but binding is sound and all is holding together fine. Very interesting account of Japan 1873-1878 by an English teacher in Tokyo. Styled as a series of letters from one fictional person to another. Great illustrations and descriptions of a vanished time. Please see scans of the book you will receive.
