About This Item

New York, NY: Funk & Wagnalls Company. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1931. Trade Edition. Hardcover. 24 volume set - complete. All volumes are in Very Good or better condition and all have dust jackets that are in Fair or better condition. There is some bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright. A number of the dust jackets have edge wear, tears, large or small chips and general wear and tear. This set takes a look at the "Builders of America", from earliest days - including Christopher Columbus, Francisco Pizarro, John Smith, Lewis and Clark, John Paul Jones, John Marshall, Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, and more. Of course, this set was published in the 1930's and times have changed, along with our understanding of the relevance of each person included in this set. .
