Green buckram covers with black print and stamped design on both front cover and spine. 180 pp. 8.5" tall. Original price $1.50, intact on front flap corner. Illustrated pastedowns and free endpapers with old-fashion train engine with men standing around it. Black and white illustrations. Clean with no writing. Trade edition. Book with rubbing to corner tips and light wear to spine ends. Page toning. Spine head with a tad of fraying. Smudge on page margin. Dust jacket's back lists 30 history books. Jacket has some staining, many edge tears ( open and closed), and chipping. Jacket toning, sunning (?), and light soiling. The author directed the parade of the "Iron Horse" for the 100th anniversary of the Baltimore and Ohio railroad. She has been connected with several spectacular railroad shows. The only woman to make the first trip west on the Denver Zephyr. She has written children's books and magazine articles, and also has been a foreign correspondent.
