First edition 1st printing, Near Fine, unread book has very light edge wear and a small, light, circular binding glue smudge top page edge; Near Fine jacket has mild yellowing, touch of rubbing front panel, and a small snag bottom of spine that has tiny bit of loss. Number 602 of 1000 limited copies created and signed by Block on limitation plate that is pasted on FEP. The first Bernie Rhodenbarr mystery.
Synopsis
Lawrence Block is a four-time winner of the Edgar Award and was named a Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America. He has also won four Shamus Awards, and was the first recipient of the Nero Wolfe Award. He is the author of over 40 books, many of which feature the characters Bernie Rhodenbarr, Matthew Scudder, Chip Harrison, and Evan Tanner. He lives in New York City with his wife Lynne.
