Plain white endpapers. 384 numbered pp, plus two sets of 20 glossy color leaves inserted with gorgeous photos - 304 color plates in all. Foreword by Chris Brickell, author's preface, acknowl, 13 chaps on 'Bulbs in the Garden; 13 chaps on 'Bulbs in the Wild'; Descriptiones Plantarum Novarum, bibliography, conversion tables, plant names index. Condition notes: first and foremost, this is a former library copy, with all the typical downsides - markers, stickers, etc; no matter what its overall condition, ex-library status is rated no better than 'good'. Dj is covered in mylar. Else, it is tight, square, clean, very serviceable. Remarkable documentation of the travels of this Latvian native throughout the world in search of bulbs - wonderful color plates. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
