"From the Bush to the Breakers by F. Frankfort Moore. Mr. Moore tells a sufficiently thrilling tale of adventure in and about the Queensland bush [sic] he gives us fights with the bushrangers under a notorious leader Captain Flash then when from the bush we get to the breakers we also get a brush with escaped French convicts from New Caledonia. The story is one of rapid action told with considerable swing and go and likely to prove exceedingly attractive to those of our boys who arc fond of hearing of life and adventures on the border lines of our Colonies. The book is capitally illustrated by Mr. W.H. Overend." From: The Publishers' Circular and Booksellers' Record of British and Foreign Literature, No 1428, November 11, 1883. Francis Frankfort Moore (1855-1931) was an Irish author who wrote sixty-four books, mostly adult and child novels, poetry, plays and satirical commentaries.
