A small book on the natural history of Australia from the 1920s. This book is showing age and use – please see photograph. Creasing to the book corners with some warping of the book panels. Foxing, staining and rubbing of the book panels with the rope tie quite tanned. Age toning and foxing of the text block edges and of the pages. Quarto, frontispiece and full-page colour plates, line drawings and vignettes; original publisher's attractive red cloth with gilt spine lettering and patterned endpapers; back board damp-stained. Gifted copy with a list of signatures of teachers from the North Newtown Demonstation School. A very good copy.
