About This Item
Amstelodami: Elzevir, 1661. Hardcover. Very Good. Contemporary or near contemporary full calf hardback with gilt lettered spine; rubbed and darkened, wear to rear corners, slightly parting at the joints, nonetheless still showing well and holding firm with strong joints. Contents tight, sound and clean. No pen-marks save a neat old former name. Endpapers loosened but not split. Not from a library so no such stamps or labels. Size: 190mm x 112mm; collation: pp. [14], 918, [31], complete with engraved title page (showing a small stain, even so clean and sharp) and a fold-out map, which is in fine shape: clear and quite bright with no splits. Thus a scarce book in satisfactory condition.
