About This Item

Patauii [Padua], Italy: Apud Josephum Corona, 1710. [First edition]. Full Calf. Good. [First edition]. Full Calf. Translation to English: C. Valerius Catullus, Albius Tibullus ER Sex. Aurelius Propertius from the recension of Jo: Antonii Vulpii Bergomensis... With the same observations, and a very rich index. The epistle to the reader indicates what has happened in the past.
Gaius Valerius Catullus, often referred to simply as Catullus, was a Latin poet of the late Roman Republic who wrote chiefly in the neoteric style of poetry, focusing on personal life rather than classical heroes. His surviving works are still read widely and continue to influence poetry and other forms of art. Extremely loose boards (one thread attached), chipping, flaking, general to heavy/moderate wear, discoloration in gutter, else very good. Stamp to tp, rear; red titling. 8vo, 634pp. illus., frontispiece, index. In Latin.
