Pages remain bright and clear, with mild tanning and foxing to edges. Binding is firm. Boards have light shelf-wear, with minor corner bumping and minimal scuffing to edges. Spine, edges and rear board are heavily sunned, with light crushing to ends. A few small marks overall. Unclipped jacket. Small fold to right flap. Light tanning to all surfaces, heaviest to spine and edges. Panels and spine have light edgewear, with small tears, chips and creases.

Authors inscription to front endpaper, “For Louis Hughes, with the Authors best wishes, VS Pritchett.” And signed again on title page. Inside pages all very clean, bright and tight throughout. Else a very clean and tight copy. 238pp. Illustrated with 3 B&W photo portraits at rear.
