London: Henry Colburn English and Foreign Public Library, 1811. Leather Binding. Original binding. Brown leather boards, 294pp. Preface indicates this may be the first edition. Publisher's list of similar titles of 'Works of Instruction and Amusement for Young People' on single page following preface. Silk bookmark detached found within. 2 neat signatures of previous owners respectively in pencil and ink on endpaper and page following. Leather binding covering worn and missing in places at spine and external boards; some gilt decoration still visible in places. Boards a little loose but still attatched. Brown tape has been applied by a previous owner to 2nd and third hinge to strengthen. Very light, scattered, occasional foxing to some pages. Main text block tight. More photos available on request. Size: 5.5 x 3.5 Inches
