Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press [ie. Raleigh: North Carolina State University Print Shop, 1965]. 313 pages, plus frontispiece and numerous plates, all photographs by Bayard Wootten. Original quarter dark green pebbled cloth and brown buckram covered boards with raised bands on spine and gilt spine lettering. Marbled paper is used for pastedowns and facing free endpapers in the place of endpaper maps, which are instead bound as free endpapers, front and rear. [22.2 cm.] A fine copy. Fourth edition, revised and with a new preface by Malcolm Ross. "An intimate portrait of the hill people of the Toe River Valley." --Books from Chapel Hill, p. 234.
