Green decorative end papers. Former owners name inside the cover, dated 1962. 9.25" X 7.25" ; 160pp. Index. Illustrated with "56 color plates; almost 100 cake designs; and over 200 black and white illustrations." The purpose of this book is twofold. "First, the teaching fundamentals of icing, the use and care of equipment, the making of flowers, fruits and birds, the methods of lettering, figuring and latticing, and the creation of designs. Second, to show its practical application by the description and photographs, in black and white and color, of almost 100 cakes." from the flap. The dust jacket is worn along the edges with short tears; the text is clean and without markings. A nice copy now in a clear removable cover. ; 8vo .
