Burnley,Lupton Bros,1906, first edition, 4to, pp. xvii, 265 and over 120 ilustrations chiefly from the author's negatives. Complete with the folding map in the rear pocket. With a list of subscribers. Very good, bright condition with just some light rubbing to the spine edges, in the original green cloth with gilt lettering. Covers the dialect, traditions and folk-lore of the district along with notices of some of its notable men. There is a short tear in the pocket at the back caused by retrieval of the map.
