[6], 398 pp. This Volume contains a Calendar stating the names of the Plaintiffs and Defendants, the object of each lawuit, and the name and situation of the lands or tenements in dispute, with a short account of the nature of the Claims in the Proceedings in the Court of Chancery during the reign of Queen Elizabeth, 1558 to 1603, alphabetically arranged under the names of the Plaintiffs. This Calendar is useful to topographical writers: it affords much genealogical information ; and îs of considerable value for legal purposes. Presentation label on front pastedown endpaper from H.M. Treasury. Boards rubbed and stained along most of fore-edges, spine lacking a 3 inch piece at the top and torn with some loss near the foot, contents Good.
