[San Francisco]: Colt Press, (1945). Patterned boards, printed paper spine label. Limited to 500 copies. Illustrated title page and numerous illustrations, one folding. Issued as Number Three of The Colt Press Series of "California Classics". A fine copy in the plain green dust jacket, which is quite faded and has a few tears. An essay first printed in 1852.
