Bowen), Bibliography, Appendix (Custer Battlefield Nat'l Cemetery & Casualty Lost of the Battle of the Little Big Horn), Appendix Reference Notes, Source Material for Appendix. Also, "Custer's Last Fight" by Col. Bowen. Tipped in following the title/copyright leaf is a nearly full page informative presentation written in ink from Forrest to bookseller/collector Jerome Peltier, dated in 1956. Laid in is a brief 1956 TLS on Forrest's Observer Pub Co (Washington, Pennsylvania) letterhead & with printed mailing envelope from Forrest to same recipient re autographs. "Of all the Indian fighters, army scouts, and frontiersmen produced by the old West of three-quarters of a century ago, none were better known in their day than Moses E. Milner, famous from the Missouri to the Pacific as "California Joe." The number of famous frontiersmen & army notables he actually knew is amazing. Trace of wear to extremities. Near fine in complete, if slightly to moderately worn dj. Howes M635, 6-guns 1507, Luther 151.
