San Francisco, California: A. M. Robertson, 1916. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Reproduces an essay on California, its lifestyle, & the people who live there, orig. published in "Sunset, the Pacific Monthly" magazine in Feb. 1916. Small (12 mo), slim (63 pages) hardcover is a FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1916, not a modern reprint. Blue cloth-wrapped spine with tan paper-covered boards with a blue design & lettering. Tipped-in reproduction of a colorful coastline painting by William Keith serves as Frontispiece. Condition is Good: generally very clean, with large tanned areas inside both covers (looks like from old newspaper clippings). Former owner's name in neat pen on half title page. Binding is strong & straight. Heavy rubbing to extremities, bumped corners, fraying to cloth at both ends of spine. NO DJ.
