About This Item

New York: Robert Bonner's Sons, 1892. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair. Fair. Quarter cloth with marbled paper boards, heavily rubbed on the cloth, paper, and spine pastedown. Square and firmly bound with toned pages, chipping to the first advertisement, half-title page, title page, and the first page of the novel. According to the Encyclopedia Masonica, this is the most widely read Masonic novel. It was later reissued by Doran in the early 20th century. Seemingly rare in this binding.
