Commissioned by the Methodist Branch of the Laymen's Missionary Movement in Victoria the author, a Methodist minister, undertakes a comparative survey of what the Protestant missionaries had accomplished in the Islands of the Sea, for an estimate of the present position, and the work that lay before the Christian Church. Ten island native groups (including Australia and New Zealand) are surveyed. 286 pages with 48 black and white photographs and a colour fold out map. Book in very good condition with foxing to endpapers and leading edges, and some wear to cover.
