Book Condition: Very Good; light bumping to head, and tail; scant shelfwear; small moisture spot on the tinted textblock top. DJ: Very Good; NOT Price Clipped ($4.95); small closed tears and slight wear to head and tail; light shelfwear to tips. Blue cloth boards with black cloth overlay on the spine; red and white lettering on the spine. 306 pp 8vo. This the story of eight Nazi saboteurs who in two teams of four, came ashore at Amagansett, Long Island and Jacksonville FL in June 1942 from German U-Boats. Their mission was to sabotage America's war industries and population centers. Their infiltration into the United States was soon discovered by US Navy Shore Patrols, the FBI was alerted, and two of the Germans turned themselves in to the FBI and ratted out the other members. All were captured, put on trial, and 6 were executed. This was named Operation Pastorius by the Germans. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
